FINALLY - something new...

not too in favor with the acting SM though... perhaps i should be more understanding that she's having a bad throat and just recovered from fever which leads to her moody mood. then again, i thought as a leader, one should be more professional? i don't know... the last thing is you would do is to vent it out on someone.

and i think i have to get used to people of higher authority to constantly having the "you should know" mentality. i mean, it's alright to repeat yourself (even though it does get tiring) or even make sure if your trainee is still learning. it doesn't hurt to ask, "are you aware of blah blah blah?" or "did anyone brief you about ----?". because i simply don't believe in "you should know" theory to trainees like me who's only 2 weeks in this job. if having to work for more than 3 months and i'm as blur as a toad, ya by all means, screw me. or not, quit having that you-should-know look whenever i'm not sure.

also, despite it's a necessary, i felt it's quite stupid to memorise barcodes. the whole troublesome thinggie sets in when the barcode falls off the merchandise, thats when i've to manually key in the barcode to speed things up. seriously, i need a miracle. tell me a quick and responsive way of memorizing those barcodes. if i'm to "die memorise" (si bei), i'll never get it done in time.

anyway, i'm on my way of mastering cashiering. finally, i'm into cashiering. i'm all jittery and everything on the 1st few attempts, a serious cock up but it's quite easy to get the hang of it. thank goodness. hopefully i'll portray as a fast-learner and master it asap so that acting SM would have better opinions of me, and would not say things like "i'm so embarassed!" when i cocked up with my barcodes.

i'm wondering, did all my seniors remember those barcodes at their fingertips when they're 2 weeks in the job? or i'm suppose to set a record?

perhaps, they're not really of "set by example" as much as they claim to be...

some changes in my schedule

i'm suppose to work full shift today but i woke up with a red and sore left eye this morning. felt quite bad that i wasn't able to fulfill my duties today, ended up causing more trouble for them to find replacement. i was thinking to continue to work by wearing specs (coz' i'm thinking it may not be that serious) but YM reminded me that red eye would spread.

anyway, note the slight changes that caused my hell in my schedule for this week:

Monday - Rest Day
Tuesday - Morning to 6pm (which i stayed till 7.45pm, with YM waiting for me)
Wednesday - Full (but on MC)
Thursday - Morning to 6pm
Friday - Full @ RP
Saturday - Half Morning @ RP
Sunday - Morning (till 2pm)

if you've noticed, there's no rest day other than Monday for me. so i'm basically working for straight 6 days for them. it's so easy for them to take away my rest day on Thursday, yet they didn't realise it would kill me. well, i should see this coming lah... especially when there's just not enough manpower.

he's back!!

the title says it all! haa...

and i need to catch up with my sleep now, i'm working morning shift tomorrow. i reached the airport at 4.35am and didnt catch a wink till i've sent him home. laze around his house for about an hour before heading home to sleep. had about 6 hours of sleep and he woke me up coz' we're meeting to go out.

didn't really stay out long too. and i watched Ice Age II!! heee... felt so good watching movie on a weekday afternoon. no crowd, no queue and cheaper tix. =D

ok, here's a brief update of my schedule this week:

Monday - Rest Day
Tuesday - Morning to 6pm
Wednesday - FULL *faint*
Thursday - Rest Day
Friday - Full @ Raffles Place

I'll get back about my schedule on Saturday and Sunday.

i believe i'm one of the most "wu eng" person on earth, i tell you. despite that i'm working, with the leniency in my roster, i always managed to find time to blog. the information are as fresh as freshly-squeezed orange-carrot juice. yum...

i think i'm having PMS - Pre-MENSTRUAL Syndrome. easily provoked by even the slightest crap. to the extend that i couldn't tolerate bad manners from customers. and i'm even plotting revenge! i was thinking, maybe i should just one day make a mess in other people's shop to release that kind of angst i've accumulated over my PMS period. well, i have to make it seems like any other bad customers and not deliberate, of course. if i'm caught and fucked upside down, i'll try my best to look nonchalent and give my sweetest smile that could give the person diabetes before i shoot up my middle finger and a huge fart when i leave the shop.

damn i'm such a bitch.

1 more day - in my bitchiest mood ever...

he would be leaving Thailand at about 12.30am (SG's time) today... would be reaching SG about 3am....

i was in my worst mood yesterday during my work. i cursed and swear at almost every customer i served. perhaps i didn't have enough sleep the night before... i don't know. putting a false front in front of them was so tiring...

no offense, but i really hated serving China's chinese and aunties! as for the Chinese, they seriously treated you like dirt despite it's your duty to serve EVERY customer. even greeting them, they won't even give you an acknowledgement. and whenever you requested to assist them, they turned a deaf ear to you and ended up messing up the pile. worse to come, they might even give you a pissed-off tone whenever you get too insistent to help them. of coz, not all of them are that bad. i've met fairly well-mannered bunch.

next are the AUNTIES!! wah lao! 1st thing that pop their brain: any discount? or, you would get this "unbelieveable" tone when you tell them the price of the item they fancy. to me, if expensive, why even come to Bugis? shops located at the outskirts of town don't mean they're any cheaper than town ok?

and another kind of people ( i don't know what to categorize them) whom i get really pissed off ultimately, are those who always claim "just looking around" the moment you request to assist them because they don't enjoy being serve, and they are usually the culprits who mess up almost anything and everything they came across. they are also the people who enjoys self-service service, and would probably complain our services are bad due to lack of service from the staffs.

i felt a bit better when it's knock-off time, and i met up with the Hua & Mei gang for a round of mahjong. best still, i won part of my cab fare! =)

anyway, i've gotten my fruitful sleep and will be working at 4pm later. this week seems to pass quite slowly and i don't seem to know why. at least tomorrow would be a rest day for me. so i'll be fetching that boy from the airport, driving my bro's car.

i saw my next week's schedule. i saw 2 to 3 full shifts on the roster yesterday but not sure whether they're confirmed already. i'll update my schedule later when i'm home from work tonite, before i go to the airport.

at the meantime, i'll be expecting alot of new staffs coming into my shop, replacing the current ones. as school's reopening, alot of my part-timers are resigning. also, 2 of my in-charges are/have transfered to another outlet. very sad though, coz' alot of us also felt that this current team is really cohesive. even the part-timers are as capable as any full-time staff we have on-board, and they really put in their best everytime. well, i should get used to it already huh? hopefully the new batch coming in are as capable as those who left...
