what's right? what's not?

that bossy SM finally left. for good, i hope. yesterday was her last day and she never fails to make known who's in charge even to the last minute. and also, she never fails to piss me off once-quite-often. anyway, she's passe now... there may be some reshuffling in the buddy system, very much depends on the new SM's decision. now, i couldn't really be bothered who's going to be my big sister / brother coz' they're input with the same mentality which develop a vicious cycle to the future generations.

i was issued an ID recently for lateness. damn. it was my 3rd-in-charge who issued. and i don't really understand their meaning of lateness. the way i was briefed contradicts the actual meaning of lateness. to put it simply, somehow there was no clarity of what's late and what's not.
for example: today, my 2nd warn me about being late. and i didn't really understand where she's coming from. the reporting time was 9am, especially early. according to my watch, i was on-time. too bad that my watch doesn't come with second-hand, i can't really tell if i was seconds late. so when i arrived, she was obviously there waiting for me.

what i understand was as a Senior, u need to arrive at least 15 mins earlier than the reporting time. or not, i would be considered as late. if the person-in-charge happens to come later than the Senior, then that would be on-time. seriously, what kind of logic is that?

to me, if i would be judged on my punctuality by the time the person-in-charge arrives, then why should there be a "reporting time" in the 1st place? all the more they shouldn't put it as "reporting time" but simply state it as the time the in-charge arrives! then, i should be contacting the in-charge to check what time he/she would arrived so as to be deemed punctual.

then again, think about it: let's take it as ALL staff in the office reports to work at 9am. if one fine day the Boss comes at 8.30am, while the rest of the staffs reports on time, should the staffs be condemned of lateness?

the thing i couldn't accept is, why must the SM comes later than the others then they would be considered punctual? should SM possessed such authority? and why create this kind of "grey" area for the REAL meaning of reporting time? is it coz' SM are such noble creatures that they can't afford to wait a while?? snobbish!

seriously, if ever i climbed to an in-charge, i'll change the culture of the shop. but that's still quite a while to go... till then, i don't know how would the new SM be performing. would she be someone i'll respect? or is she someone of no difference to the previous one? if so, i would think most SMs are made up of unscrupulous arseholes who would take credit upon their team members' hard work. perhaps, i may be determined to create a difference... haa...
